I awoke today at around 10:00. Upon opening the front door of my cabin I found that I live in an exotic jungle; with ravens and finches chattering and the sound of the ocean lapping at the shore. I must give great thanks to a very dear man named Thorn, for his brilliant work building the behind the scenes website. Artists like myself are known to be difficult to work with. Here I am, tucked into the woods, literally, because figuring things out on my own is so often more fruitful than trying to explain them to and have someone else implement. When I found myself enjoying the process of cyber-design with Thorn, I realized that it is due to his never ending enthusiasm, optimistic outlook on life, and very great ability to listen to my vision and do what he could to make that ‘happen'. I told him that if every one was like him I might be a team player! He is a genius, has a great sense of humor, and is pretty much perfect in my eyes.

Thank you also to Girly (also known as Linda Cole) who managed to capture a very elusive face...that of mine, with her expert photographic skill. Any person who says, "I'm not photogenic" understands how it feels when someone finds the "real" them...the one we see when we look in the mirror as opposed to the monster every one else comes up with.
My sessions with Girly were great fun and I will cherish forever the fruits that came from them. Her business of 20+ years has been photographing young children in vintage settings using sepia tones, with hand painted flowers in their hands.
